Maura Larkins Linked to Sex Abuse

A child molestation report concerning Maura Larkins of San Diego was discovered in public records. Scott McMillan, a La Mesa Attorney and Dean of his own law school (without a single student) appears to have contracted with Maura Larkins who was teaching, but suddenly let go, then sued by a school, http://www.dmlp.org/threats/greatschools-inc-v-maura-larkins  . The purportedly retired school teacher, was found to have made false statements about a reputable law firm,
who was ordered to remove all statements from her website, http://www.dmlp.org/sites/citmedialaw.org/files/RulingPermanentInjunction103009.jpg, made numerous statements alleging judges are corrupt and asserting many judges are simply the problem, www.mauralarkins.com/judgesproblem.htmland continues with ridicule of judges as also seen at www.mauralarkins.com/GreerAdamsMalkus.html ,  ridiculing civil defense attorneys for simply representing a client, http://learningboosters.blogspot.com , and even thinking the judges of the Court of Appeal in San Diego are conspiring against her, http://sandiegoeducationreport.info/?cat=17 , despite the fact she openly defied a court order to remove slanderous blog posts, http://www.dmlp.org/sites/citmedialaw.org/files/RulingPermanentInjunction103009.jpg.

Nonetheless, it looks like she may had been fired for good reason. The report reads in part,

MCMILLAN further indicated he had a female friend, MAURA LARKINS who would introduce him to young children. LARKINS was contacted, acknowledged her introduction of children to MCMILLAN, but insisted it was to do yard work, however LARKINS could not explain why she received $100 for each child introduced to MCMILLAN.

It is unfortunate if the above is true. While looking at the report, it appears Maura Larkins’ multiple blogs concerning child molestation were simply her fascination with forwarding her desire to molest children and a natural defense mechanism awaiting allegations by former victims to surface – in short her blogs are an effort to look as an advocate of children – not a victimizer of children. We have seen it took decades for victims of clergy abuse to come forward. It is common for victims to have a repressed memory as indicated in a recent report that states in part, 

“Delayed reporting of sexual abuse is a common, normal reaction from someone who has experienced traumatic events. Sexual abuse can cause intense feelings of embarrassment, fear and humiliation. Survivors are often terrified that they will not be believed and ashamed that they don’t know how to stop the abuse. Victims often feel trapped between wanting the abuse to stop and being terrified of other people learning what has been done to them. That fear can keep victims silent while the abuse is going on, and for years after it has stopped. It is important to remember that child victims often feel very confused about the abuse while it is ongoing. Offenders may use fun or care taking activities to push the boundaries of a child and create a bond, such as teaching innocent hygiene and introducing games, but including “accidental” sexual touching.”

 

It appears Maura Larkins decided to give the outward appearance of fighting for children’s rights on one of her many duplicative websites, while she was a vital tool assisting in children’s victimization. If the report is correct, publishing this information should help victims come out and seek justice.
